Session: cinematic love story

My husband and I had plans to travel to Wichita, Kansas to document a micro-wedding, so I had posted to my socials that we would be in the area if anyone wanted to book a shoot while we were there.

Ava reached out on Instagram about wanting to set up a cinematic couples shoot with her partner Amelia. We had tossed a couple of ideas around about the perfect location to go to, and we ended up deciding to visit Botanica in Wichita.

This truly was the perfect location for us to hold a cinematic session at - the different environments really helped to tell a story about a date in the gardens and encapsulate Ava and Amelia’s spirit.

When I say I was “third-wheeling” it, I mean that. It was like Ava and Amelia were the only people there and they truly were on a date - totally enthralled by each other. Their chemistry seriously was the most fun and genuine I have seen on-screen in a while.

The day was filled with fun, lighthearted play while I got to be there to document the unique moments Ava and Amelia created with each other.

Cinematic couples sessions have my heart. I am so in love with the way each session is a new story being written and documented in real time. Whether it be me third-wheeling on your garden date, a recreation of your favorite movie, or creative concepts we establish together, these are the sessions that truly epitomize relationships and showcase your love.
